About Hearing Loss
Hearing loss is a silent and exhausting condition which affects over 278 million people all over the world.
Hearing loss or impairment is the measure of decline in the ability to apprehend sounds. Hearing loss can range from partial to total, temporary to permanent, sudden to gradual and can affect one or both the ears.
Symptoms of hearing loss may be mild, moderate, severe or profound. Hearing loss or deafness can be either congenital (present at birth) or acquired (occurring after birth). The acquired hearing loss can occur suddenly or develops gradually with age.
